CM’s Free Cancer Chemotherapy Scheme launched in Arunachal pardesh
Health Minister Dr. Moji Jinney launched Free Cancer Chemotherapy Yojana in Arunachal Pardesh on Tuesday at the Tomato Cancer Center of Tomo Reba Institute of Health and Medical Science, Nehragun.
Under this scheme, medicines commonly used for the treatment of diseases of 500 cancer patients will be provided, in which Rs. 10 lac per patient per patient
The plan was approved by the cabinet on May 18 and after this, on June 21, the MoU was signed between State Cancer Society of Arunachal Pradesh Registration Online and Tata Memorial Center, Mumbai.
In order to avail this facility, patients will have to take necessary documents like APTS certificate, photo identity card, passport size photograph for registration, Dr. Genie said.
Dr. Gene said that this plan will reduce the financial burden on the state treasury as well as the caregivers of families and families who take heavy payment and medical advance bill to cancer treatment.
TRIHMS now has all the basic facilities for the treatment of cancer including surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
