Uttarakhand launch Gaura Devi Kanayadan Yojana

Under the Gaura Devi Kanyadan Yojana in Uttarakhand, girls of all families living below Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Castes and the Poverty Line will be given a grant of 50000 on passing 12th passage. Many banks have been set up for this purpose. In this Gaura devi Kanyadan Yojna, the amount of 50000 rupees FD or cash received will be given to students of 12th pass. Under the Gora Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana, financial assistance is provided so that the girl can stand on her feet further.

Inaugurating the Udupi taluk level dasara sports meet organised by district administration, zilla panchayat, department of youth empowerment and sports and Udupi taluk panchayat, Pramod, also district minister said under the scheme 750 talented sports persons under 19-years and 250 talented sports persons age above 19-years will be selected.
