Housing Facilities to Married Defense Personnel and Soldiers

Narendra Modi led government has approved construction of 1,98,881 houses for married soldiers/defence personnel under Married Accommodation Project. This a government scheme that will also hire houses to meet the housing deficiency for Defence personnel.
The Married Accommodation project was approved in the year 2002 for construction of 1,98,881 dwelling units, 57875 dwelling units under Phase-I has already been constructed. In Phase-II 69904 dwelling units are to be constructed out of which 38811 are constructed and remaining 31903 dwelling units are under construction. The Phase-III comprising of 71102 dwelling units is planned for future.
Defence personnel who didn't get allotment of house are authorized to HRA/CLIQ (Compensation in Lieu of Quarter) or Amily Accommodation Allowance.

Goverment of Maharashtra launched a MahaDBT Portal

The Fadnavis government of Maharashtra is facing allegations of corruption being imposed on Maharashtra Housing Minister Prakash Mehta and IAS officer Radheshyam Mopalwal on one hand, while the government has launched the Maha-DBT portal to curb corruption. On this portal, Chief Minister Fadnavis is confident that this modern technology will prevent corruption in the state.
